Welcome to Managed Care Hosting

by The Boss on January 8, 2010

Welcome,

Managed Care Hosting is a new service starting in January, 2010. This is one of 100 projects consisting of products or services in development by James Hatch. The Managed Care Hosting service allows a client to direct changes to a single source who is available to make changes to their websites.

How does this work?

A client can email, call and leave a voicemail which will be translated into a text message which will be sent to a cell phone, or if available directly by phone. Changes to be made will be sent to a Managed Care Hosting agent (currently just one) who will commit the changes to the website within one hour between 5 AM and 10 PM EST, 7 days a week, and within 8 hours between 10:01 PM and 4:59 AM.

How much does this cost?

This is done for $50 per Month for 15 updates. A typical update takes 10 minutes including editing, formatting, and commitment to the site. Changes to the content after commitment, unless substantial or after 24 hours, do not count as an update. If you want a fixed price, and will have more than 15 typical updates per month, we can negotiate a price. Additional blocks of 15 updates can be acquired for $30.

Do you build Websites?

Sort of. We build blog sites, like this one but with a different look. A blogging site can look like a typical website but affords a superior interface than your typical website. Such as dynamic content, remote access, search engine optimization which is better with the dynamic content mentioned above, and finally, an extensibility that allows features to be added or removed. A standard blogging website will cost $500, with limited customization of graphics. Visit the contact page.

You provide hosting?

Yes, but it isn’t necessary for Managed Care. To host the site, and have Managed Care, we charge $65 per month. Which includes migration from your old host to us, and the care and feeding of your site. If you don’t want managed care, we charge $20/Month and you’ll have access to your own cPanel administration console.

More to come…
